• Do you have a minimum order for screenprinting?
For screenprinting our minimum order is 30 units by design. For garments this can be a mix of sizes (but not products).
It takes quite a lot of time to set the screens up on the printing press and make sure that the registration is correct so we’re unable to take on screenprinting runs of less than 30 units.
• Why is there a screenprinting set up charge?
Screenprinting is a lengthy manual process. We take your artwork and create an acetate film for every colour separation in your design. Each of these then requires a separate screen.
• Will I have to pay a set-up charge every time I order a repeat print run?
We hold onto exposed screens for 12 months so if you come back for a repeat print run within that time there will be no further set-up charge.
• Can I mix different garment colours in a single screenprint run?
Yes this is possible so long as the print/ink colour works across the different chosen garment colours.
• Can I have different print colours in a single screenprint run?
Yes it is possible to have an ink colour change so long as we are printing a minimum of 20 units per colour. To change the ink colour we have to clean down so there is a
• Can I supply my own garments?
We work with all of the major garment suppliers so it is worth checking our prices first. All garments are not the same and we prefer to only print on garments from suppliers we know and use regularly, to ensure that we can achieve a good print quality.
The handling fee for supplied garments is £0.50 - £1.00 per unit. All garments must be checked for defects before being sent to us. If you need exact quantities we advise over ordering as spoils can happen from time to time and we’re unable to replace garments that we haven't sourced. Supplied garments are sent at the customers own risk and we cannot replace spoiled or defective garments.
• How should I supply my artwork?
Your files need to be at least 300 DPI and 100% scale (ie. scaled to your print size). We can work with most file formats: .PSD; .
We do offer DTG printing with water-based inks as a cost effective alternative for smaller print runs.
Screenprinting offers a high quality, long lasting finish and is better and more cost effective for larger print runs (of 30 units and over). We screenprint by hand which enables us to apply great care and attention to detail. DTG offers a cost effective alternative for smaller print runs. In our opinion, the print quality of DTG is very good, but not as vibrant or long lasting as a screenprinted finish.
• How long will it take to produce my order?
Our turnaround times vary and we usually aim to deliver your order within 2-3 weeks. We get booked up very quickly in the Summer and the run up to Christmas so our lead times do become longer. We'll always let you know our estimated lead times when you first contact us.
• How do you match the ink colours to my artwork?
For screenprinting we use Pantone references where required or will match by eye to your artwork.
• Can I visit your studio?
You're more than welcome to come and see us. Just book in with us first so that we can make sure someone is available to see you.
